Following the excitement of the Autumn Trails Festival, another crowd-pleaser graced the streets of Winnsboro—the annual Art & Wine Festival. Held on November 1st and 2nd, the festival drew record numbers of visitors despite the rainy weather, proving once again to be one of the year’s most popular events. People traveled from all over the United States, and even internationally, to experience the finest art and exceptional wines that East Texas has to offer.
The festival showcased an impressive collection of 27 artists who brought their unique talents and creations to this juried show. From breathtaking paintings to intricate sculptures, the festival grounds were alive with creativity, inspiring art lovers of all kinds.
Local wineries brought their best to the event, offering tastings that gave visitors a chance to explore the flavors of East Texas wines. Food trucks were also on hand, providing an array of tempting choices—from classic burgers and kettle corn to flavorful hot sauces and comforting mac & cheese. There truly was something to satisfy everyone’s cravings.
Adding to the festival’s lively atmosphere, live music filled the air, with performances by The Kirbys, Stacey Knight-Finley, Kevin Tinney & Chase Glover, and Eves Road. Their talent kept the crowds entertained and added an extra layer of joy to the weekend.
One standout feature of this year’s festival was the Dia De Los Muertos exhibit by Bizzy Bee Academy, which brought a colorful and educational celebration of Mexican culture to Winnsboro. With painted Catrinas, beautifully decorated sugar skulls, and live Catrinas that wandered through the festival, this exhibit introduced a vibrant new tradition to the event.
This year’s Art & Wine Festival was truly unforgettable, capturing the spirit and creativity of Winnsboro. As the festival continues to grow each year, it remains a can’t-miss event for those who love art, food, wine, and a sense of community. We at Oaklea Mansion can’t wait to welcome our guests back next year for another incredible celebration!
