Vanora Studios Brings Spring Fashion & Style to Oaklea Mansion

On March 18, 2025, Oaklea Mansion had the honor of hosting Vanora Studios’ Spring Runway Show—and what a night it was! Fashion, music, and community spirit came together in a spectacular display, proving once again that Winnsboro has style worth celebrating.

In the fall of 2023, Vanora Studios, owned by the talented Brenda Buck, put on a fashion runway show to showcase some of Winnsboro’s handmade designs. The event was a massive success, and this year, Vanora Studios took it up a notch—moving to a grander venue and inviting more local boutiques to join in the fun.

Oaklea Mansion provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of runway magic, featuring fashions from :

• Vanora Studios

• Ani Oakli

• Copperleaf and

• Modern Country Living.

With 16 models, 8 volunteers, and the incredible James Pickering as DJ and MC, the night was nothing short of electric. Models strutted down the runway in unique, locally curated styles, flashing smiles that lit up the room and proving that fashion in Winnsboro is as vibrant as ever.

But this show wasn’t just about style—it was also about craftsmanship and creativity. Brenda Buck, an expert seamstress, not only designs for her own studio but also mentors the next generation of designers through the Wood County 4-H Chapter. Two of her 4H students showcased their own hand-sewn dresses on the runway—an incredible achievement and a proud moment for both them and their mentors.

Winnsboro has a long and rich history of fashion and design—from old sewing studios to high-end fashion houses, this town once played a significant role in shaping regional style. While much of that history has faded from memory, events like this prove that Winnsboro’s fashion scene is alive and thriving.
